Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, UK. 19th July 2018. The Langholm Common Riding patrols the marches out to Peden’s View. The location is named after Alexander Peden, the “Prophet of the Covenant” who was saved from the brutality of Sir James Johnstone of Westerhall's men in 1685, when a sudden mist dropped over the landscape.
