Hawick, Scottish Borders, UK. 8th January 2019. The disused Waverley line at Whitrope south of Hawick. The Waverley line was reintroduced as far south as Galashiels in 2015 after closing in the 1960's, and campaigners now want this to be extended through to Carlisle to include isolated towns such as Hawick.
