Rothbury, Northumberland, England, UK. 3rd August 2018. Coquetdale Young Farmers Club hold their annual Speed Shearing competition. The event celebrates a skill that requires high levels of fitness and the victorious shearer completed their task in under 20 seconds. Judges ensure sheep are clipped properly and penalties are awarded for nicks and badly shorn fleeces. A proficent shearer can clip 300 sheep a day in real work conditions.
