Hownam, Kelso, Scottish Borders, UK. 9th February 2019. Foxhounds of the Border Hunt, a hill pack, draw a hill side of gorse and heather while flushing foxes to guns in the Cheviot Hills. Fox management in the Border uplands is crucial for ground nesting birds such as the Curlew, and the upcoming lambing season. A full pack of hounds is effective due to their ability to fan out over steep terrain.
