Photographed over a three-year period on the Scottish side of the Cheviot Hills, the annual gather during February and March of the hefts of ewes, to enable the scanning of their lamb ratios.

The process is reliant on good shepherd dogs, an off road motorbike aids efficiency, and of course an intimate knowledge of the land and its livestock is essential.
